ESW installs CARB Level II Diesel Particulate Reactor™ for Camptown Bus Lines
In October 2004 the installation of 48 ESW proprietary CARB Level II verified Diesel Particulate Reactor commenced with Camptown Bus Lines, a Newark, New Jersey School Bus fleet operator. The Particulate Reactor™ is being installed on vehicle years ranging from 1993 to 2002.
ESW's Particulate Reactor™ Level II diesel emissions reduction technology was selected for this important retrofit project by MJ Bradley and Associates. This on-road diesel emissions reduction project is the first public-private endeavor of its kind in the city. ESW's Particulate Reactor is being installed as a direct fit replacement unit to the existing Original Equipment Manufactures muffler. The installed Particulate Reactors™ maintained the original muffler location and size, permitting a direct, bolt-on application.
This overall project involves the continuous monitoring of
the buses emissions with regularly scheduled testing to evaluate the real
world reductions being achieved. Initial test results, utilizing Environmental
Systems Product's (ESP's) drive through remote sensing emission measurement
technology, confirms verified emission tailpipe reductions.
